Support for young medical professionals

“The tough working environment hasn’t changed much…”

This reality hit me when I started to work at the hospital again in Nagano after working in a remote location for four years in Hokkaido. I was shocked to witness the stressful working conditions that the young doctors seemed to be facing.

Since then I have been wondering what I can do to support young doctors and medical students.

It means even more to me knowing I have a nephew and a niece that also want to be doctors.

In this blog, my main purpose is to inform others of my daily activities along with my thoughts and ideas to help upcoming doctors and medical students.

My hope is to connect opportunities and provide support for those who are struggling with their career path, work, study, etc.

I would like ICARE’s framework to involve young professionals and others around them.

My goal is to collaborate with these young professionals to establish “donation-powered hospitals” that do not require the aid of Japanese medical welfare system.

Please check out my ongoing projects and messages for young doctors and medical students in this blog.
